Forgot to post the other week after eating at p*ong, the new sweet-savory blending spot in the west village that’s been getting lots of mixed reviews. It was a Thursday night, around 7 or 8 and the place was virtually deserted. The cocktails were interesting and well-made, and the food was pretty great. I had a duck pot pie with pinot noir and chocolate. My friends had a sweet and spicy butternut squash soup and something like a goat’s milk sorbet crusted in toasted nuts with berries on the side. A little overpriced but worth checking out, especially because it’s so quiet.
